9:00-10:00am: New Dimensions Radio Our Personal Invitation to Heal America’s Racial Karma with Larry Ward, Ph.D. America’s racial karma is not a concept but a living reality and no one is likely to be magically exempt from a lifetime of the manifestation of racialized consciousness in this system as white supremacy weaves its deadly pattern through human history over the course of 500 years of social psychology. This includes all of us: White people as well as Blacks, Asian, Native First Peoples, and Hispanic persons. Racialized consciousness is not an intractable condition but a legacy of human thought, speech, and physical behaviors. The good news is that we can transform our collective karma

3:00-330pm: TUC Radio: Smokescreen - Debunking Wildfire Myths to Save Our Forests and Our Climate - Chad Hanson. Dr. Chad Hanson is the Director of the John Muir Project of Earth Island Institute. As Research Ecologist he is part of a growing movement of scientists and researchers who are calling into question many of the practices and policies of logging, not just the so-called fire suppression. Much of current research is presented in his 2021 book Smokescreen - Debunking Wildfire Myths to Save Our Forests and Our Climate. And the key themes are listed in his talk.

8:00-9:00pm: Upaya Zen Center Upaya Zen Center: Robert Thurman Robert Thurman reads from his translation of The Holy Teaching of Vimalakirti,  summarizing this sutra as a text of discovering inconceivable liberation through direct realization of the interconnectedness of all beings. He reminds us that to understand this text is to understand that we are buddha, and to realize this we have to go beyond dualistic thinking. Thurman explains that through increasing cognitive dissonance tolerance and meditation practice, we come to understand that we are beyond conceptual ideas of individuation.
